The Western Region Communications Department of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by Richard Kirk Mensah, has joined the advocacy to educate residents in the Sekondi Takoradi, especially the market women, on the wild spread of cholera within the metropolis.
As it stands now the death toll of the cholera victims has reached 15 with over 1500 cases recorded.
Richard Kirk Mensah is however urging them to take their safety precautions and take the vaccines by the health professionals to curb the spread of the disease. "The cholera outbreak is escalating rapidly, and it's crucial we all play our part in controlling its spread.
The health services have introduced a vaccine, and I strongly encourage everyone here to get vaccinated.
