The statue of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in front of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, at Sekondi in the Western Region, which was vandalised on Monday, December 16, 2024, has been repaired.
The Ghana Police Service, which announced that it was investigating the defacement of the statue, confirmed this with visuals showing that the left leg was partly broken.
The police also indicated that the plaque on President Akufo-Addo's statue was removed by the perpetrator(s).
New visuals of the statue shared by Accra-based TV3 showed that the statue has been repaired.
