Hope for Future Generations (HFFG), a leading non-governmental organization committed to improving the welfare of women, children, and youth, has launched the Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) initiative in Accra.
The initiative, supported by UNICEF, the Ghana Health Service, and other agencies, aims to equip health professionals and peer educators with the skills and knowledge to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment.
As part of the launch, HFFG is holding a three-day training session, bringing together health professionals and peer educators from various regions to address these critical issues.
Speaking at the launch, Cecilia Senoo, Executive Director of Hope for Future Generations, emphasized the importance of empowering young people to stand against sexual misconduct. "We are working with adolescent girls and young women across different regions to provide them with the tools and training they need to combat sexual exploitation and harassment," she stated.
