The Founder and General Overseer of Nicholas Duncan-Williams Ministries, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has called on Ghanaians to pray for President-elect John Mahama rather than labelling him as a "saviour." Speaking during a meeting with the president-elect, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of managing expectations when a new leader assumes office. "You are a vessel, so these things people are saying-that you came to save or rescue-they should be careful about that," Archbishop Duncan-Williams cautioned. "You are a vessel in God's hands.

They should stop saying such things and instead pray for you, so God can use you to meet their expectations." The Archbishop also shared insights from a prior conversation with John Mahama, revealing that Mrs.

Lordina Mahama, the President-elect's wife, initially expressed concerns about his decision to run for office, given the challenging state of the economy.

However, he reassured her that Mahama's return to leadership was in alignment with divine timing and part of God's plan to complete unfinished business. "God will guide you, protect you, and give you what it takes to move this nation, according to His mandate, to where He wants it to be," Duncan Williams declared. "We are praying and believing that during your term, the negative narratives that have plagued the governance of this country will change."
