The political journey of John Alan Kyerematen, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and now founder of the Movement for Change seems to have reached a critical turning point, according to Associate Professor of Leadership and Management at Viterbo University, Professor Enoch Opoku Antwi.
Speaking on recent developments in Ghana's political scene, Prof.
Antwi strongly suggested that Kyerematen consider retiring from politics, citing his poor showing in the 2024 presidential elections as the deciding factor. "Alan should retire from politics because he has destroyed his chances as a politician. "Garnering 30,000 votes in an election is nothing to write home about," Prof.
Antwi said in an exclusive interview with Vim Lady on Okay FM. "The people who did not vote for NPP were expected to vote for him, but that did not happen, and that must tell you that Alan has lost it." This call for Kyerematen to step down follows his dramatic departure from the NPP in 2023.
