The Bono Region has recorded a staggering 65 bushfires from January to December 2024.
This alarming statistic was revealed by the Bono Regional Fire Commander, ACFO II Cecil Addo, during the launch of an anti-bush fire campaign held in Sunyani, Bono Region.
The theme for this year's launch was dubbed; "Effective Bushfire Prevention, Stakeholders Role in a Greener Tomorrow".
The event was attended by local officials, community leaders, and environmental advocates, and aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of bushfires and the urgent need for preventive measures.
