Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, has shed light on the factors that contributed to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) significant defeat in the recently concluded 2024 general elections.

Speaking during an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to Face on Channel One TV, Aboagye highlighted the severe economic challenges Ghana faced in the lead-up to the elections as a major contributing factor.

He pointed to skyrocketing prices of goods and services, the rapid depreciation of the cedi, and persistently high inflation rates as key issues that eroded public confidence in the party.

He further noted that Ghana's economic difficulties in 2022, which led to the government initiating a debt restructuring programme, created a particularly tough environment for the NPP.
