The Member of Parliament for Tamale South, , believes that Ghana's democracy has been strengthened following the 's (NPP) defeat in the recent election.

In a recent interview with Accra-based TV3, he expressed optimism that President-elect John Dramani Mahama will fulfill his promises and not disappoint Ghanaians.

He cited his confidence in Mahama's ability to honor manifesto pledges within economic constraints. "I think that Ghana's democracy is stronger and better with the NPP losing.

I believe President Mahama will not disappoint the Ghanaian electorate.
