The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), has launched an investigation into a fire outbreak at the Kwashieman Cluster of Schools, which housed the Ablekuma North Constituency ballot boxes.

The fire occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, December 17, 2024, reportedly starting inside the school's library, which had been temporarily converted into a storage area for the ballot boxes.

Eyewitnesses, many of whom live close to the school, described waking up to thick smoke and flames engulfing the building.

In a statement, the Police assured the public that those responsible for the fire would be arrested and prosecuted.
