The Deputy National Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has issued a call to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, to come forward and assist in his immediate arrest.

Mr Gbande explained that this action has become necessary to ensure Chairman Wontumi does not evade justice for his alleged environmental crimes.

He emphasized that he is determined to hold Wontumi accountable for his role in mining activities that have polluted water bodies and caused extensive forest degradation across multiple regions.

Speaking on Cup of Tea, a Kumasi-based radio program, the NDC Deputy National Secretary revealed that he is personally on the ground in the Ashanti Region, coordinating with law enforcement authorities to effect Wontumi's arrest. "I have laid an ambush, but I can't find Wontumi.
