Executive Director of the Africa Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEP), Dr Rasheed Draman has said he is expecting to see North Tongu lawmaker Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to hold the incoming Mahama administration accountable the same way he did against the outgoing Akufo-Addo government.
He says this is the only way he will believe the assurance that the president-elect John Dramani Mahama gave that the supreme Majority of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 9th Parliament will not be abused.
Speaking on News Central on TV3 on Monday, December 16, he said among other things that "I will want to see Hon Okudzeto Ablakwa holding this government accountable the way he did against Akufo-Addo.
That is when we will say that this parliament is not being abused." President-elect John Mahama had stated earlier while speaking during a courtesy call by the National Chief Imam, that his administration to consult the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at every step, stating that he is committed to democratic governance.
