The New Patriotic Party (NPP) saw a sharp drop in voter turnout in the general elections of 2024, according to , vice chairman of the Bawumia 2024 Campaign Team.

Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP received 4.6 million votes, while President-elect John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won a resounding win with nearly 6.3 million votes in the poll conducted on December 7.

After defeating several NPP MPs, the NDC also gained a parliamentary majority.
