A statue of Ghana's President Nana Akufo-Addo near the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi-Takoradi has been vandalized, leaving a gaping hole in its left calf.
The statue, unveiled by the President himself just last month, has quickly become a topic of controversy.
The circumstances surrounding the vandalism remain unclear, and the individuals responsible have not yet been identified.
The statue had already sparked public debate since its unveiling.
