The Soyaya Movement, a well-known National Democratic Congress (NDC) faction, has congratulated John Mahama and the NDC party on their resounding win in the general elections of 2024.
As a potential primary patron of the movement, the statement also thanked the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, for her steadfast dedication and assistance during the campaign.

Yakubu Gowin, speaking on behalf of the group's leadership, said the overwhelming win was a clear affirmation of the NDC's principles and agenda as the remedy for the corruption and economic problems that characterized the previous administration's term. "This massive victory shows that the country was yearning for change, and John Mahama, in particular, was the leader Ghanaians needed to reset the nation on the path to growth and prosperity for the masses," said Dr Gowin.
