The Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North constituency, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has opened up about how some members tried to convince to rejoin the party but failed.

According to his narration, some NPP MPs approached the Founder of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), formerly the Lighthouse Chapel International, Bishop ; some Anglican bishops, and other notable personalities who were close to Alan to convince him to rejoin the party.

The MP mentioned that despite their relentless efforts to bring Alan back to the party, the leader of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC) refused to heed their plea.

Speaking in an interview with JoyNews, Appiah-Kubi stated that NPP losing Alan made some voters in the Ashanti Region unhappy, which contributed to the party's disastrous defeat in the 2024 general elections. "The people of the Ashanti Region are likely to vote for the NDC because they are hurt.
