The Explosives Dealers Association of Ghana (EDAG) has expressed confidence in the election of John Dramani Mahama as president of Ghana.
As an association with the primary objective of representing and advocating for the interest and rights of explosive dealers, the group says it is pleased with Mr.
Mahama's ambitious plan to end the illegal mining menace. "The road to becoming President of the Republic has undoubtedly been fraught with challenges, yet your perseverance, determination and the policies you outlined during your campaign has led you to this significant milestone." "We are confident that under your able stewardship, Ghana will continue to make strides toward greater prosperity, equality and inclusivity," the Association said in a congratulatory statement.
EDAG says it looks forward to working with the next government towards social and economic advancement beneficial to all citizens, particularly in the area of responsible mining. "As we look ahead, we believe that the path forward will be one of economic prosperity, innovation, unity and shared responsibility, and we are keen to contribute positively under your government," it added. "EDAG wishes you [John Dramani Mahama] great success in this new chapter of your journey and once again, we say congratulations on your election as President of the Republic of Ghana."
