Kwame A Plus, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has openly criticized President Nana Akufo-Addo, accusing him of being opportunistic and self-centered.
In a candid interview on TV3's Ghana Decides with Johnnie Hughes, A Plus shared the reasons behind his fallout with the president and his eventual departure from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
A Plus explained that after Akufo-Addo's victory in the 2016 elections, he, along with other loyal supporters of the president, began distancing themselves from the administration due to frustrations with the behavior of some of Akufo-Addo's appointees.
Despite their efforts to address these issues, A Plus claimed that the president ignored their concerns, leading to a breakdown in their relationship. "President Akufo-Addo is an opportunist and self-centered," A Plus said. "When some of his appointees were misbehaving and we tried to call them to order, he ignored us.
