Some NDC supporters have prevented the MCE for Effutu Alhaji Kassim Zubeiru from allegedly attempting to steal some streetlights from the Assembly's warehouse in Winneba.
The supporters of the NDC trailed the Mitsubishi pickup truck with registration GB 2386-22 which was being driven by the MCE, Kassim Zubeiru from the warehouse located within the enclave of the Assembly's office.
According to one of the supporters, Ebenezer Simpson, the MCE upon sensing danger of being overwhelmed, returned to the Assembly premises with the vehicle and some boxes, each containing two streetlights and hurriedly entered into his office. "We had the information that the MCE made some National Service personnel to load boxes of streetlights into a pickup truck.
So, we mobilized ourselves and just when we were about reaching the Assembly's premises we saw that vehicle exiting.
