The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, issued a stern warning to the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Faustina Andoh-Kwofie, over her actions and insistence on continuing the re-collation of disputed election results for the Nsawam-Adoagyire constituency.
The collation exercise, held at the Police Depot in Accra, became tense and chaotic at a point as party representatives disagreed over the admissibility of some result sheets.
On December 12, the Electoral Commission (EC) ordered a re-collation of results from four constituencies in the Eastern Region: Suhum, Nsawam, Fanteakwa North, and Akwatia.
These constituencies had been the subject of disputes over the original collation process.
