The Ghana National Canoe Fishermen Council (GNCFC), Southern Volta Marine, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on his election as President of the Republic of Ghana.
In a statement signed by the Regional Secretary, Victor Kekeli Dzokoto, the council described the victory as well-deserved and expressed optimism about the President's ability to lead the nation effectively.
The GNCFC Southern Volta Marine, representing the interests of canoe fishermen in the region, highlighted its commitment to working closely with the new administration to advance sustainable fishing practices and improve the livelihoods of its members. "As an organization that represents the interests of canoe fishermen in the Southern Volta Marine, we are eager to collaborate with your administration to promote sustainable fishing practices, improve the livelihoods of our members, and contribute to the growth and development of our nation's fisheries sector," the statement noted.
The council expressed confidence in President Mahama's leadership, believing that his vision and policies will help address challenges facing the fishing communities.
