President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged the Joint Transition Team to investigate allegations of last-minute recruitments into various ministries, departments, and agencies.
This directive follows reports of rushed appointments and the unexplained payment of GH₵240 million to a business partner of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
During a joint meeting on Wednesday, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Transition Team expressed concerns over the potential financial and operational implications of these actions on the incoming government.
Mahama emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the transition process.
