Seventy supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who were arrested across the country for various infractions have been granted police enquiry bail.

This follows the aftermath of the December 7 polls, during which a total of 123 individuals were arrested, according to the Ghana Police Service.

Out of the 123 arrested, forty-nine suspects have been processed for court, with 16 granted bail.

Another thirty-three have been remanded into police and prison custody to reappear before the courts at a later date.
