In a remarkable feat during Ghana's December 7, 2024, general elections, the Greater Accra region of the (NDC) has secured a historic 31 parliamentary seats.
This triumph, led by regional Chairman Emmanuel Nii Ashie-Moore, represents a substantial leap from the 20 seats the party held in the 2020 elections.
At the time Ashie-Moore assumed leadership of the regional NDC in 2022, the party's seat count was 20 out of the 34 seats in the region.
His campaign promise to increase this number to 25 by the 2024 polls has been surpassed by an impressive 11 additional seats, bringing the total to 31.
