Following the 's (NPP) defeat in Ghana's December 7, general elections, several key figures within the party and beyond have openly criticized President 's leadership as a contributing factor to Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia's loss to the opposition (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama.
Bawumia who represented the NPP in the elections secured less than 42% of the total valid votes cast while Mahama garnered over 56% to win the elections.
Bawumia conceded defeat less than 24 hours after collation began following the close of polls.
