President-elect John Dramani Mahama has pledged that the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) majority in Parliament will exercise its numbers responsibly.
The NDC currently controls over 180 seats, compared to the New Patriotic Party's 79 seats.
During a courtesy visit by the Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and his delegation, Mahama assured Ghanaians that both his administration and the parliamentary group would prioritize the nation's welfare.
He emphasized that the NDC would steer clear of actions that could compromise Ghana's democracy, committing to governance in the best interest of all citizens. "We are not going to misuse the majority we have in parliament.
