The 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections have delivered a decisive victory to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), leaving the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to grapple with an unexpected defeat.
Dr.
Matthew Opoku Prempeh, widely known as Napo, who served as the NPP's running mate, has acknowledged the party's disappointing loss and called for a period of "honest introspection and reflection." In a statement issued on December 11, Napo emphasized the importance of respecting the will of the Ghanaian people. "The 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections resulted in a victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
This was not the outcome we, in the NPP, envisaged; but we respect the verdict of the Ghanaian people.
