President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commended the president-elect for his intervention in the violent disturbances that some youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) engaged in.
Mr Mahama directed persons purported to be supporters of the NDC to stop engaging in acts of violence against state institutions.
There were reported incidents of attack on state institutions like Ghana Gas, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority and National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
Addressing the nation on December 10, Mr Mahama urged the perpetrators to stop such criminal activities. "These acts must cease immediately.
