The Ghana Police Service has announced the implementation of additional measures to ensure peace, security, law, and order in the post-election period.

This move comes as the country transitions from the election phase to maintaining stability and addressing any incidents that may arise.

Limited cases of looting and vandalism Despite the overall peaceful conduct of the elections, there have been limited cases of looting, vandalism, and destruction of properties in some locations across the country.

So far, 89 suspects have been arrested in connection with various offences, with 40 of them directly linked to acts of vandalism, looting, and property destruction.
