A swarm of bees in the afternoon of Tuesday invaded the premises of the Hohoe Sonrise Christian Academy School and its neighbourhood, stinging some learners, staff, and some residents, businessmen, and women in the surrounding area.
Dr.
Mark Nutsukpui, proprietor of the school, said the incident occurred when some boys from the neighborhood went to harvest honey in one of the trees closer to the school.
He said their unsuccessful attempt unleashed the bees in the neighbourhood, which disrupted not only school hours but also nearby businesses.
