The Member of Parliament for the Obuasi West Constituency, Kwaku Kwarteng, has initiated the commencement of construction of the deplorable Nana Ponko road. The very critical road in the Obuasi West Constituency has long been neglected, leaving residents and drivers outraged about its deplorable nature. Residents will now heave a sigh of relief since commercial drivers who hitherto used that road have refused to ply it or charge passengers exorbitant prices due to its poor nature. When completed, the road will present an easy route to the yet-to-be completed accident and trauma hospital at Bidiem. The construction of the 0.75km road, scheduled to conclude within six months, is entrusted to Thilex construction Limited, renowned for its excellence in road construction.
