President-elect John Dramani Mahama has assured that the Ghana's democracy remains strong and secure following the recent elections.
He said this after meeting with outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of the inauguration of the 2024 National Transition Team, marking a critical milestone in Ghana's democratic process.
The meeting, held Wednesday, December 11, at the Jubilee House in Accra, signals the start of an organised and peaceful transition of power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The National Transition Team, a constitutional body mandated to oversee the handover process, will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transfer of power.
