The National Executive Committee member of the NDC, Lawyer Wonder Kutor, has stated that the Electoral Commission (EC) encountered complications in the coalition of results due to the bureaucratic systems it has implemented.
During a discussion on TV3, Lawyer Wonder explained that after the results were recorded at polling stations and signed by the political parties involved, the EC received a copy of the signed pink sheets from each polling station, which contained the compiled results.
He questioned the EC's delay in declaring the winner of the elections, despite having received the original and final pink sheets from all the regions and after the presidential candidate of the NPP had conceded defeat. "They wanted to move results from the constituency coalition centers to regional centers, but we stopped them because the results had already been declared at the polling stations.
According to the CI, the pink sheets were supposed to be posted at the various polling stations, but they weren't," he remarked.
