President Akufo-Addo says he is committed to ensuring that President-elect John Mahama experiences a seamless transition into office.
According to him, it is imperative that this process is undertaken in a manner that protects the interests of Ghanaians.
He said this ahead of a meeting at the Jubilee House on Wednesday bordering on the inauguration of a joint transitional team on the back of Mr Mahama's electoral victory.
The President told journalists that this preliminary meeting was "to assure him of my full support and that of my government over the transitional process to make sure that this administration takes off in the best of conditions."
