The Ghana Police Service has deployed extra personnel as a measure to deal with the increasing cases of post-electoral violence.
This follows the National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters' alleged involvement in the ongoing vandalism of state properties in certain parts of the country in the aftermath of the December 7 elections.
More than 100 suspects alleged to be affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been arrested in connection with looting and vandalism at various state institutions following the victory of the NDC in the December 7 elections.
Places such as Ghana National Gas Company Limited (GNGCL) headquarters in Accra, the Forestry Commission depot in Achimota, Bono Regional Forestry Commission offices as well as the headquarters of Metro Mass Transit Limited were besieged by individuals suspected to be supporters of the NDC.
