North Tongu lawmaker Samuel Okudzeto has saluted the youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who are protecting state properties to ensure that they are not looted by outgoing officials of the Akufo-Addo administration.

He cited Article 41(f) of the 1992 Constitution which states that it shall be the duty of every citizen "to protect and preserve public property and expose and combat misuse and waste of public funds and property" to support his comments.

Reacting to reports of some supporters of the NDC besieging the Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) office to protect state properties from being siphoned according to the youth, Mr Ablakwa said on TV3 Tuesday, December 10 that "I don't see them holding weapons, , they are orderly.

That level of vigilance is key." Meanwhile, Mr  Ablakwa has condemned the irate youth who besieged the head office of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (GNGCL) in Accra on Tuesday, December 10.
