The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on its supporters to leave polling centres and return home, assuring them that the party's technical team and leadership will manage the remaining election procedures.

This appeal was made in a statement issued on December 10, following escalating tensions at the regional collation centre in Accra over the postponement of the announcement of results for the Ablekuma North constituency.

Reports indicate a disagreement between the presiding officer and representatives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the NDC concerning the delay in declaring the results. "Our party's leadership, in collaboration with our team of experienced professionals, is fully prepared and committed to ensuring that every aspect of the collation and declaration process is conducted diligently and transparently.

Rest assured, we are steadfast in protecting every vote cast for the NDC and upholding the will of the people," the statement emphasized.
