Ghanaian broadcaster Afia Pokuaa, known as Vim Lady, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to reconnect with voters in the Ashanti Region after their surprising losses in the 2024 general elections.
Traditionally an NPP stronghold, the region saw the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) make significant gains, securing more parliamentary seats and a decisive win in the presidential race.
In a social media post, Vim Lady described the results as a wake-up call for the NPP, highlighting voter dissatisfaction. "NPP must go on a forgiveness tour in the Ashanti Region.
