Supporters of the (NDC) and the (NPP), clashed at the Accra Regional Office of the Electoral Commission (EC) on December 10, 2024, over the delayed declaration of results for the Ablekuma North parliamentary seat.
The situation escalated when NDC supporters stormed the EC premises, reportedly damaging louver blades and other properties.
Video footage from the incident shows agitated protesters forcing their way into the building, despite police efforts to block access.
Before the clash at the EC office, demonstrators had also blocked roads in the vicinity, causing temporary disruptions to traffic.
