President-elect John Dramani Mahama has condemned attacks by some youth on state institutions in an attempt to take over the facilities.
On Tuesday, December 10, there were reports of attempts by some youth, who are supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to take over the Ghana Gas Company and the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.
However, in both instances, their attempts were foiled by police and military officers who were deployed to handle the situation.
In a televised speech to the nation, President-elect John Mahama strongly denounced the actions of the party youth and called on the perpetrators to cease immediately. "I urge the youth not to vent their frustration through criminal activities.
