The Electoral Commission has officially declared John Dramani Mahama, leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as Ghana's president-elect after his resounding victory in the December 7, 2024, general elections.

Mahama secured a decisive win over his closest rival, Vice President Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia, with a remarkable margin of 1,671,093 votes.
