The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has released a statement addressing the outcome of the 2024 general elections and related issues.

The Party's Steering Committee, following an emergency meeting, expressed gratitude to its members, executives, and volunteers for their commitment during the campaign, despite the Party's defeat.

The statement acknowledged the pain and disappointment felt by supporters but urged them to remain calm as the Party focuses on unity, restructuring, and constructive feedback to prepare for future challenges. "Our surest bet going forward is to unite, re-group, and re-strategize for future battles," the Committee emphasized.

The NPP accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of engaging in violent and coercive tactics to influence parliamentary results in constituencies such as Dome-Kwabenya, Tema Central, and Akwatia, among others.
