The One Ghana Movement has unequivocally condemned the ongoing violence, vandalism, and looting reported in several parts of the country, including Damongo, Awutu Senya, Nsawam, Tamale, Techiman South, and Accra, following the presidential election.
In a statement on December 10, the Movement said these acts of aggression are a threat to the peace, stability, and unity of the nation.
One Ghana commended the NPP's Presidential Candidate, Dr.
Bawumia for the "peaceful concession" of defeat in the spirit of democratic consolidation. "However, the post-election violence undermines the values of democracy, justice, and rule of law that Ghanaians have collectively worked so hard to uphold. "The One Ghana Movement urges all citizens to remember that elections are not just a competition of ideas and policies but also a reflection of our shared commitment to a peaceful and united Ghana.
