GhanaWeb Feature by For some time now, the stretch of road from the CP Junction to the Achimota Hospital has been shrouded in darkness, raising concerns among commuters. The lack of proper street lighting has made the area a dangerous place for drivers and passengers alike and has led to a surge in criminal activities, particularly robberies, during the evening hours. Reports indicate that thieves are exploiting the poorly lit road to target vehicles stuck in traffic. In several instances, robbers have brazenly snatched phones and other valuables from drivers and passengers through open car windows, during rush hours. Once the theft is complete, the criminals quickly flee into the dense Achimota Forest, which lies adjacent to the road, making it difficult for anyone to pursue or apprehend them, residents have said.
