Samuel George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, has declared that the "reign of tyranny" by Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), has come to an end.
George's comments follow rising tensions over the delayed declaration of results for the Ablekuma North Parliamentary election.
It is alleged that EC Chairperson Jean Mensa ordered a suspension of the declaration of the election results for the constituency, sparking frustration and criticism from political parties and the public.
Addressing journalists in Accra on Tuesday, December 10, George noted that "Whether they go up or down, whether Jean Mensa or Bossman Asare walk with their leg or head we will do the declaration today. "It will happen today because you see let me tell you something Jean Mensa must know that her reign of tyranny has come to an end.
