The United States of America government has called for an investigation into four election-related deaths that occurred during and after the elections on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in certain parts of the country.
In a statement dated December 9, 2024, U.S.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed condolences to the families who tragically lost their loved ones during Ghana's elections.
He emphasised the need for full accountability to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths and to ensure measures are put in place to prevent similar occurrences in future elections.
