The Speaker of Ghana's Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has sent a congratulatory message to the winner of the 2024 presidential election, former President .
According to the Speaker, the victory achieved by the flagbearer bears testimony to Ghana's commitment to sustaining democracy. "Today, we celebrate not just a victory, but a reaffirmation of our democratic principles," the Speaker said. "John Mahama's win is an affirmation of the will of the people, and I am confident that he will lead Ghana towards greater prosperity and inclusivity," a statement from the Speaker's office added.
The Speaker also called on Ghanaians to rally behind the newly elected president in building Ghana. "It is now our collective responsibility to support him in the task of nation-building.
Together, we can work towards addressing the challenges that lie ahead and ensure that every citizen feels the impact of good governance," Speaker Bagbin said.
