Henry Quartey, the Minister for the Interior, has announced a renewal of curfew hours in the Chreponi Township and its environs in the North East Region. The curfew will be from 10 pm to 4 am effective Wednesday, August 14, 2024. In a statement released by the ministry, the government urges chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, youth, and residents of the area to remain calm during this period and use non-violent means to ensure peace. Persons from the areas affected by the curfew are banned from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapon.  Anyone found in possession of the weapons mentioned above will be arrested and prosecuted.
