After 48 hours of anticipation following the December 7, 2024, presidential polls, the Electoral Commission has finally declared the results.

This comes amid widespread calls for transparency, particularly after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat less than 24 hours after the polls closed.

Electoral Commission Chairperson Jean Mensa announced the results on December 9, 2024, revealing that the declaration was made despite results from nine constituencies still pending.
