Entertainment entrepreneur and politician Baba Sadiq has been declared the newly elected MP for Okaikwei Central. Baba Sadiq won the seat with 15,383 votes while the incumbent MP, Patrick Boamah polled 14, 949 votes.
The entertainment entrepreneur was declared winner of the Okaikwei Central seat on Monday, December 9 after hours of confrontations and argument at the Greater Accra Regional Collation Centre.
The declaration was made after both parties agreed for the EC to use two-thirds of the available polling station results to announce the results for Okaikwei Central.
The EC had identified anomalies in around 31 pink sheets, prompting consultations before a final decision was made.
