Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Andrews Egyapa Mercer has linked low voter turnout to reason why he lost his third bid to Parliament.
He explains that the people decided against going to vote because, to them, they have not had any direct benefit after several years of voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The Member of Parliament was speaking to Takoradi-based Connect FM when he made this known. "People did not go out to vote and that was a general problem.
Most of them believed they had not received any direct benefit from the Party after all the years, and so they would not vote.
